Nonprofit video production is often the most powerful storytelling we get to share. Many of the nonprofit videos we create are fundraising videos, which require truly touching an audience and giving them reason to donate (and simply fall in love with your organization). It takes the right video production company to create impactful nonprofit videos.
Whether it be a fundraising video or a brand video, nonprofit video production needs to be authentic. That first requires a deep understanding of your organization and your mission. Second, it takes conversational interviews to reach the real heart of a story. And on top of that, you need high quality visuals that capture true moments within your nonprofit organization and/or with someone you are supporting/have supported.
Here and Now Project
The Here and Now Project needed nonprofit video production for an event. If you don’t know the Here and Now Project, they connect and empower the paralysis community in Seattle and throughout the Pacific Northwest. They have a unique story to tell and numerous people they have impacted. When co-founder Kenny Salvini watched the final video, he told me it brought him to tears. The nonprofit video was used during their event, shared on social media, and also serves as the brand video on their website.
Rainier Valley Food Bank
Rainier Valley Food Bank recently bought a new building and transitioned into their new home. But not long after moving in, they moved everything out to begin renovations. While construction is happening, Rainier Valley Food Bank is committed to its community. They moved their operations outside to their parking lot, at a local library and church, and they are using tiny homes in a village across the street for offices. It’s a challenge, but Rainier Valley Food Bank does things differently. They approach their work with joy and abundance, and they’re looking forward to the future as a community hub.
Bayview Seattle Nonprofit Video Production
Bayview Seattle is a nonprofit life plan community on Queen Anne Hill. They also have a foundation that raises money for the community’s mission, programs and residents. Every year, they hold a gala to raise money for the foundation. When the COVID pandemic happened, they needed to shift to a virtual event. And that required nonprofit video production in the form of a “mission moment,” highlighting someone benefitting from the foundation’s help.
“From beginning to end, Tim was incredibly professional, sincere, and a complete joy to work with. His masterful storytelling was on complete display with our video,” said Jill Change, director of sales and marketing at Bayview Seattle. “What surprised us most was his ability to capture complex elements with our foundation and create a video which spoke to the heart of our mission. We’re grateful for our partnership with Moarly Creative and look forward to future collaborations.”
St. Vincent de Paul Seattle | King County
To put it simply St. Vincent de Paul Seattle | King County helps people in need. And they needed nonprofit video production for a fundraising event. I was hired to produce the testimonial of a man who was living a “normal” life, struggled with mental health and financial issues, and ended up homeless in Seattle. St. Vincent de Paul connected the man with services and support, and was helping him get back on his feet.
To engage the audience, the fundraising video runs much deeper than just the basics. We visited Pioneer Square where the man lived on the streets. We followed him into the Union Gospel Mission, where he often took shelter. And we even captured him performing magic tricks, because he is an accomplished magician who has performed thousands of shows.
Again, we dive deep to understand your organization and mission to create thoughtful nonprofit videos.
Nonprofit Video Production
The Master Builders of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS) is the nation’s oldest and largest homebuilders association. It’s also a nonprofit organization. They hire us for many different types of work: testimonial videos, marketing videos, and in this case virtual events.
Once again, COVID shifted everything online. And for MBAKS that meant full produced virtual events. And that’s where our nonprofit video production came in. We shot and edited two fully recorded and produced holiday galas and also an awards program called REX-TREX, which honors remodelers and their impressive work.
We have many other examples of nonprofit video production for fundraising events and beyond, and you and your organization can be next.
