It’s probably the question we get asked most often: do you shoot drone videos? The answer is yes. And I honestly understand why everyone loves drone videos so much. They offer a unique perspective and movements you simply can’t get anywhere else.
We fly drones for nearly every video production we work on. And we do it at no additional cost to you for larger projects. Our goal is to make every video we create portfolio-worthy and part of that includes aerials from our drones. And our drone pilots are experienced, skilled and licensed for any project.
Standalone Drone Videos
One way we capture drone videos is a standalone project like we did for the PGA of America. They needed a Seattle video production company to shoot aerials of Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish. The PGA of America was about to announce Sahalee as the home for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and they wanted a splash video to go with the announcement on social media and its website.
Our drone pilot got out to Sahalee Country Club early in the morning before any golfers were on the course. That way we could capture Sahalee in all its natural, tree-filled beauty. Drones captured every single shot of the video.
Drone as Part of a Larger Story
More than anything we shoot drone videos as part of a bigger story. They can be dispersed throughout a brand video, customer testimonial video, patient success video — or just about anything.
In the case of Penhall Company, we used our drones to help establish the setting for their Colorado River Aqueduct shutdown video. The Texas-based construction company flew our Seattle team to California for the project. And a unique project it was. Penhall Company was hired to fix cracks in the Colorado River Aqueduct, one of the main sources of drinking water for Southern California.
Where Penhall Company conducted work is where elements were most extreme: the Mojave Desert. We were out in the middle of nowhere, covering miles and miles of repairs, and the drone videos really helped us reveal that.
Real Estate Drone Videos
Drone videos are extremely valuable to any industry but they are most often requested by real estate professionals. The goal is to showcase your property the best way possible. That helps you stand out as a real estate professional, and it also helps sell the property as quickly as possible for your client.
Drones show where the home is located and can offer unique perspectives and movements for your real estate videos. A top down view of your property shows the layout of the home, yard, etc. Our homebuilder clients find massive value in our drone videos as well — like Dwell Development.
Dwell Development recently completed its first down-to-the-studs green remodel. And they did it on a beautiful 100 year old home on the shores of Lake Washington in Seattle. Trying to capture the stunning setting was impossible from the ground. That’s where the drone comes in.
Drone videos aren’t just useful for your video projects, they are also really fun for us to capture. I mean, who didn’t love remote control toys when they were a kid? Let’s fly together.
