Successful marine construction requires planning, skill, effort, and so much more. The same can be said about marine construction video production. It’s a challenging gig that requires safely capturing each moment to properly showcase a project. It takes years of experience to manage a video project like this properly. And our team has that experience.
Global Diving & Salvage
We have traveled all over the country for marine construction video production with Seattle-based Global Diving & Salvage. Their projects have taken us to Florida, Alaska, Oregon and California. And we’ve also worked with them locally on Elliott Bay in Seattle.
For that local marine construction video production we showed how Global Diving & Salvage crews saved a Seattle landmark: Salty’s on Alki. The popular Seattle restaurant is built over the water on a pier. And after more than 100 years, the pile and beams holding up the structure had heavily deteriorated. That’s where Global Diving & Salvage came in.
Global Diving & Salvage replaced the deteriorating pile and beams. And they did it on off hours while the restaurant remained fully operational. That means the team mostly worked overnight in the dark. Not to mention, also working with the Puget Sound tides.
Our video includes an interview with a member of the restaurant group that owns Salty’s on Alki. And true to our marine construction video production, it provides a powerful testimonial for Global Diving & Salvage:
“I call them my A team,” said Jeannie Hammock. “Every morning, they’re ready to face the challenges they know they’re going to have. And they are still gung ho and excited. It is impressive.”
Where else are you going to get an impactful soundbite like that for your company?
Penhall Marine Construction Video Production
Our construction video production services have twice taken us to California with Penhall Company. That includes the work we captured of Penhall Company demolishing Schuyler F. Heim Bridge in Long Beach.
CalTrans originally hired a different contractor to demolish Schuyler F. Heim Bridge. But that company didn’t have the proper equipment to fully remove the original concrete footings of the bridge. Without those footings being removed, the new bridge couldn’t be completed. And that’s when Penhall Company got the call.
We were with Penhall Company for several days as they used wire saws and cranes to remove massive chunks of concrete from the water. And thanks to their hard work, the project finished more than 30 days ahead of schedule. That’s a feat. But it’s a massive bonus for them to have a video to showcase their drive and capabilities.
“In order to effectively tell our story, I believe you need to understand our journey,” said Penhall Company project manager Chad Maddock. “Your willingness to stand alongside our employees and understand the efforts required of everyone involved was, in my opinion, a significant contributing factor to the success and quality of the video.”
